First Face
Finished a few faces in the new series I have begun in charcoal. Shot one and here it is.I have tried to blend realism with a faint touch of Modiglani-esque distortion. I am crazy about Modigliani. There is something dizzy about the ways he skews some of his portraits. My faces, for a change, are not portraits of any people I know. I am simply putting blunt end of charcoal to paper and experimenting with what emerges. So, resemblance to anyone dead or alive is purely coincidental. However, if you think any of my work resembles you or maybe your girlfriend and would like to have it up on your or her wall, well, you know what to do. Leave a comment and I'll get back to you with the price, heh heh...

Modigliani ROCKS! I love this drawing, too. You have a great way with charcoal.
Very alluring. I haven't seen a style close to yours before... and I love the colors more than anything. Keep working, this is a great start.
thanks for the comments on some of my pictures, Oormila !it's been a while since I saw any Modigliani but yeah, I do remember him. I love this portrait of yours..especially the fact that it may be somebody out of a dream..it's sometimes difficult to get that mood in photography..but some of us try...keep up the beautiful work.
Urmila the Cathedral is not of St. Francis Xavier but it is the known as the Se. Cathedral of Goa, which means the Cathedral seat. Your paintings will be at the Old Archbishop House.
